Secrets - The Cookbook

Charlie and Ruthie Knote, co-founders of CISC the Culinary Institute of Smoke-Cooking, introduced their best-selling cookbook and training manual "Barbecuing & Sausage Making SECRETS" in 1992. The large majority of self-published authors, especially those who narrowly focus on such topics as barbecue cooking, will sell a few hundred copies to friends, neighbors and relatives, and have several hundred more copies gather dust for years in their basements.

"SECRETS" as it has been nicknamed by the American barbecue community, is in its eigth printing and has sold nearly 26,000 copies internationally. A unique blend of humor, insight, information and common sense, "SECRETS" demystifies the techniques of classic, wood-smoked barbecue cooking and grilling, and gives both the beginner and the experienced cook new and useful techniques for getting BBQ right the first time, on time, every time.

The most frequently asked question about "SECRETS" and the hands-on "CISC MASTER BBQ COOKING SCHOOL" is "What is the difference between the two?" While the book contains a great deal of practical information and more than 250 recipes, the cooking school takes that information and, using advanced, hands-on educational techniques, leads the student step-by-step through the key elements necessary to create world-class wood-smoked barbecue or grilled meats and vegetables every time.

The "SECRETS" cookbook costs only $14.95 plus $2.50 for shipping and handling. (Missouri residents add 6.125% sales tax.) The cookbook is available at special quantity discounts in case-lot purchases for sales promotion, for use as premiums, and for fund-raising or educational events. Special excerpts can also be created and used for a variety of purposes, with the written permission of and appropriate attribution to CISC the Culinary Institute of Smoke-Cooking.
